BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ASSOCIATION

The idea of founding an association for helping Asiatic populations who became victims of Tsunami (december 2004) originates by chance on a January Sunday while I was watching a TV program giving space to this calamity. One of the hosts was an Indian nun who asked for help in supporting a distance program.
The name of the nun was Sister ALICE LOURDSWAMY; she belongs to the Sisters of Charity of St. Anne, who own orphanages in some of the poorest and mainly seaquake-damaged regions of India: Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Andaman Isles and Nicobar. I put myself in contact with her via e-mail, we became friends and she encouraged me, together with my friends, to found italiaindiainsieme, our association.
Sister Alice is our direct intermediary to access the programs for in-loco intervention.
